At Seven Seas, the underwater adventure often goes airborne!
Common bottlenose dolphins captivate audiences with aerial displays and other performances that show off their incredible intelligence and agility. Learn about dolphin social structures, adaptations, and more when you attend one of Brookfield Zoo’s daily Dolphin Shows in the newly renovated Seven Seas Dolphinarium.
For a more in-depth look, take the gift shop staircase to the newly updated Underwater Viewing area where you can see an interview with Dr. Randy Wells or watch a Public Service Announcement about dolphin conservation in the wild. Or maybe you would like to take a boat ride on Dr. Wells’ dolphin research boats and learn about how CZS plays an important role in dolphin conservation.
Dr. Randy Wells, one of the world’s foremost dolphin scientists and head of the longest-running wild dolphin study, has been learning about the structure and dynamics of dolphin society and how humans impact their lives. Video screens and surround-sound speakers bring Sarasota Bay, Florida, close enough so that you can almost feel the ocean breeze as you listen to Dr. Wells’ and his research team
