Animals Keeping Cool at Brookfield Zoo

Brookfield, Ill.—With today’s temperature in the triple digits, Brookfield Zoo Animal Programs staff made sure the animals were keeping cool. From domestic cows, raccoons, boa constrictors, and hogs to snow leopards and polar bears, staff thought of a variety of ways to cool them off. Some animals were sprayed with water, others put in water, and still others given ice treats.
