When is the Animal Adoption summer event?

The 2020 Animal Adoption summer event (Share the Care Evening) has been cancelled. We are unable to host this event while complying with State of Illinois Phase 4 guidelines. We thank our current program donors for their support and understanding.
The annual Animal Adoption summer event is usually held on a weekend date in early August. If you are an Animal Adoption program participant, you would receive your invitation in the mail the first week in July. The summer event is a special night when the zoo is open after regular hours as a special privilege for Animal Adoption program participants.

Where does my donation go?

Your contribution to the Animal Adoption program goes to help Brookfield Zoo provide expert care for your animal.

What happens if my animal is transferred to another zoo?

Your donation is automatically transferred to the next available animal within the species. A letter is sent to notify you of this transfer. However, you are welcome to contact the Animal Adoption program and arrange to transfer to a different animal of your choice.

When will I receive the adoption packet?

The adoption packet will be mailed within two weeks of the purchase date. When quicker delivery is needed, consider selecting Next Day or 2nd Day shipping during checkout (sent next business day) or purchasing your package by phone at 708-688-8341 (be sure to request expedited processing).
