Brookfield, Ill. – Zoogoers are invited to grab their glow sticks and running shoes and head to Brookfield Zoo for its first Reindeer Run, sponsored by Revolution Brewing, on the evening of Saturday, November 24. With a two-mile course entirely inside the park, families and friends can "fun run" or walk along the pathways decorated with one million LED lights for the zoo’s annual Holiday Magic festival, which begins December 1.

The non-competitive run (not timed) will begin at 7:00 p.m. in front of The Pavilions. Registrants may enter and check-in at the zoo’s north gate entrance beginning at 5:30 p.m. During the evening, participants can enjoy taking a spin or two on The Carousel, and meeting several of the zoo’s animal ambassadors who will make appearances at 6:00 and 7:30 p.m. In addition, there will be a selection of food and beverages available for purchase. Registered participants who are over 21 will receive a complimentary drink, courtesy of Revolution Brewing.
Registration for Reindeer Run is $25 per person (plus a $2.50 sign-up fee), which includes a commemorative warm knit beanie featuring the Reindeer Run logo.

Participants should park in the zoo’s main north lot at 8400 31st Street in Brookfield. Family and friends are welcome to cheer on their favorite runners, but will have limited access to only the North Mall, Pavilions, and Carousel Plaza during and after the run.
Reindeer Run is a rain, shine, or snow event. The zoo encourages all participants to be prepared and wear proper clothing and footwear. Space is limited. To register and for additional information, go to CZS.org/reindeerrun.
