Warm Up at Brookfield Zoo’s First-Ever Winter Wine and Whiskey Fest

Brookfield, Ill. – Join Brookfield Zoo for its first-ever Winter Wine and Whiskey Fest on Saturday, February 24, from 4:00. to 8:00 p.m. at the zoo’s Discovery Center. With more than 50 seasonal wines and whiskeys to sample, complimentary hors d'oeuvres, live music, and animal ambassadors, this casual, fun-filled event offers guests ages 21 and over the perfect excuse to come out of winter hibernation and head to Brookfield Zoo.

One of Chicago’s top cover bands, Enough Said, will serve as the live entertainment for the event, performing top hits that are sure to have guests singing and dancing between sips of cabernet and bourbon (see the complete wine and whiskey list below). Attendees will be able to indulge in spicy Cajun meatballs, plum tomato and basil bruschetta, miniature chicken kabobs, fried shrimp, Filipino lumpias (spring rolls), cheese and crackers, and more (including some crowd-favorite snacks like popcorn, pretzels, and hotdogs). Don’t forget to look out for the zoo’s animal ambassadors, who will be making appearances throughout the evening for up-close experiences.

Two ticket options are available, both of which include free parking and admission to the zoo on February 24 (from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) – so attendees can plan to arrive a couple hours before the fest to enjoy all the zoo has to offer:

  • General admission tickets are $85 (zoo members pay $75) and include samplings from more than 50 wines and whiskeys, hors d'oeuvres, and a commemorative glass.

  • Designated driver tickets are $45 and include unlimited soft drinks and hors d'oeuvres (no wine or whiskey).

Located at Brookfield Zoo’s Discovery Center, the Winter Wine and Whiskey Fest is for adults ages 21 and over; children will not be allowed to attend the event. Tickets are limited and available at CZS.org/WinterWineandWhiskey.
