Brookfield, Ill. – Thaw out from the polar vortex and warm up at Brookfield Zoo’s Winter Wine and Whiskey Fest on Saturday, February 23, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The 21-and-over-only event will feature more than 40 seasonal wines and whiskeys accompanied by complimentary small bites.

Partygoers will be able to satisfy their palettes with selections from the taco and nacho bar, including ground beef, chicken, carnitas, and veggie.  In addition to food, guests will be able to sample a variety of wines and whiskeys, including Villa Jolanda Moscato and Strawberry, Quintessential Cabernet Franc, Ironstone Petite Sirah, Terrapura Sauvignon Blanc, Longridge Konkelberg Rouge, Arendsig Cabernet Sauvignon Blok A9, Nabygelegen Scaramanga Red Blend, Broken Barrel Bourbon, William Wolf Coffee Bourbon, Coppercraft Straight Bourbon, and Rush Creek American Whiskey.

Live entertainment provided by the local band Red Carpet Riot will add to the ambiance, and will surely have guests dancing and singing all night long. Additionally, there will be opportunities throughout the evening for up-close experiences with several of the zoo’s animal ambassadors.

Two ticket options are available, both include free parking and admission to the zoo, on February 23 (from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) – so attendees can plan to arrive earlier in the day to enjoy seeing all the animals before the fest begins.

  • General admission ticket is $85 and includes samplings from more than 50 wines and whiskeys, small bites, and a commemorative glass.

  • Designated driver ticket is $45 and includes unlimited soft drinks and small bites (no wine or whiskey).

Tickets to Brookfield Zoo’s Winter Wine and Whiskey Fest are limited and available for purchase at CZS.org/WinterWineandWhiskey.
