Application Process –What to Expect & Helpful Hints
 
How to Apply – It is fast, easy and you can use a computer, smartphone, or tablet!

Applicants interested in employment at Brookfield Zoo can complete an on-line application by going to our website at CZS.org/Careers.

1.  Click on the green button, Career Center.
2.  Click Sign In/Create Account using your email address and creating a unique password.
3.  View Most Recent Jobs Posted
OR
4.  Narrow your search with a key word or use Advanced Search.
5.  Click on a Posting Title to view the full job description and details.
6.  Click Apply to Job to create or import your profile.  Complete the candidate questions. 
7.  Depending on the device you are using, when you finish completing the application form click Send, Save or Submit
8.  You can check the status of your Submitted Applications by viewing your Candidate Zone > Dashboard.  
 
The Welcome Page shows you the 10 most recently posted positions.
Hint:  You can add criteria to the “Search Openings” feature or simply click the Search button to see current openings. 
 
Use the Search Openings feature to focus on the jobs you are interested in.
Hint:  No results?  Broaden your search criteria OR do not use any criteria and hit the Search button to view all current openings.  It is possible that we do not have a currently open position in a particular area.  Save your search in your profile and check back again later. 
 
Review the posting carefully in its entirety.  It describes the position responsibilities and requirements so that you can determine if you are interested and qualified.
Hint:  No matter how badly you want to work at Brookfield Zoo, we will not consider any applicant for a position for which the applicant does not meet the minimum job requirements.
 
Be sure to create your User Name (current email) and Password. 
Hint:  Be sure to remember the user name and password you created for your profile!  It allows you to log in to the on-line Career Center and view your application status, apply for other jobs, review what jobs you applied to in the past, keep in contact with us, etc.  Additionally, for security reasons, we do not have access to your password and are not able to reset it for you if you forget it.  If you forget your log-in or password information, you need to use the “System Password Reset.”
 
Plan for the application process to take approximately 8-10 minutes.
Hint:  We want you to have a positive, efficient application experience.  We need you to provide enough information to determine whether you are qualified for the position.  While a resume is not required, providing one is encouraged.  It provides our recruiters with helpful information about your background and experience.
