Developing a lifelong love of science and conservation...

The Chicago Zoological Society (CZS) King Conservation Leadership Academy combines informal, experiential science education with community-based civic engagement, facilitating racially, culturally, and socio-economically diverse voices in conservation and empowering children and families to define conservation in ways meaningful and relevant to them.

We foster the development of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) skills and conservation awareness by engaging young children in nature as early as possible and with children and families throughout their hands-on, educational journey.

The King Conservation Leadership Academy encourages the broadening of the scientific and conservation community through hands-on, experiential STEAM learning opportunities for pre-school aged children through college.
