Victoria Crowned Pigeons can be identified by their blue-grey plumage and large, white-tipped, fan-shaped crest of feathers on the head. This large pigeon also features a rufous chest and red irises. Victoria crowned pigeons are named for British monarch Queen Victoria who ruled from June 1837 until her death in January 1901.
