White-Nosed Coatimundi, or "coati," are rufous to black with a whiteish underside. Their bodies are a little over 2 feet long with their black banded tail being almost as long as their body. As their name suggests, they have a white, movable snout that aids in searching small areas.

The white-nosed coatimundi holds its tail high when walking. The long, thin, ringed tail gives the coatimundi counterbalance as they walk in treetops or along a cliff's edge, looking for fruit or stalking prey.
