Wines in the Wild Fundraiser at Brookfield Zoo to Benefit Conservation, Education, and Outreach Programs

Brookfield, Ill.—The Women’s Board of the Chicago Zoological Society is hosting its annual Wines in the Wild fundraiser at Brookfield Zoo’s Discovery Center on Saturday, October 27, from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. The evening themed “An Evening in Disguise,” will feature wines and champagnes from around the world provided by the event’s purveyor, Prestige Countryside Liquors.

Accompanying the wines will be delicious hors d’oeuvres, including four food stations where Brookfield Zoo’s executive chef and his staff will prepare exciting gourmet items. Guests who discover a new favorite wine will also be able to purchase individual bottles or cases. Ten percent of all proceeds from wine purchases during the evening will be donated back to Brookfield Zoo.

Throughout the evening, guests will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets as well as bid on fantastic items being featured in a silent auction such as tickets to a Josh Groban and Idina Menzel concert at the United Center on November 6, 2018; tickets to Chicago Blackhawks games; choice of a dinner for 12 or a cocktail party for 20 at Brookfield Zoo, an exquisite piece of jewelry from A. Marek Fine Jewelry; and a “Day of Fun at the Zoo” featuring a behind-the-scenes tour and lunch for six guests.

Tickets are $120 per person, which includes the tasting, zoo admission, parking, and a commemorative wine glass. Additionally, there will be a VIP reception from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m. that will give wine enthusiasts the opportunity to sample exclusive wines not available during the main event, plus a chance to meet some of Brookfield Zoo’s ambassador animals. Choose from the $1,200 VIP package for six tickets, the $500 VIP package for two tickets, or the $275 VIP package for one ticket.

Proceeds will benefit the Society’s animal programs, science education programs for children and teachers, community outreach events, annual scholarships, and local and international conservation programs. To register for “An Evening in Disguise” Wines in the Wild or for further information, visit CZS.org/Wines or call (708) 688-8393.
