Pallas's Cat

About the size of domestic cats, Pallas's cats are native to central Asia, and reside in the rocky outcroppings in deserts, shrublands, and grasslands. Their long, thick tails can wrap around the body like a blanket, to provide protection in snowy weather. Solitary and nocturnal, the Pallas's cat at Brookfield Zoo Chicago can often be seen nestled into the rocky nooks in his habitat inside Desert's Edge.
